New Delhi, Aug 27 (ANI): Finance Minister Arun Jaitley met Asian Development Bank (ADB) President Takehiko Nakao in New Delhi and discussed the need for capital increase in the bank to maintain a lead role in development financing in Asia. Nakao is on a three-day visit to India and is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday to discuss the government's development agenda and how ADB can support the government's vision. This is his third visit to India in his capacity as ADB's President. At his meeting with Jaitley, Nakao assured support from the ADB to partner India's development strategies and aspirations through delivery of a diversified programme of financing, knowledge exchange and capacity building. Meanwhile, Jaitley complimented Nakao for his efforts to pursue the MTR of Strategy 2020.
