New Delhi, Dec 1 (ANI): Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Monday said that Mergers and Acquisitions (MandA) needed to be encouraged to promote the size of corporates. Jaitley said this while delivering an inaugural speech at the opening session of the International Competition Network (ICN) Merger workshop in New Delhi. Jaitley added that there is also a need to understand when to draw a red line while implementing the competition law. The two-day international workshop is being organised by the Competition Commission of India (CCI) on the theme-'International cooperation and remedies in merger review'. The finance minister said that CCI was evolving by involving significant business activities.
