Vadodara, Jan 11 (ANI): Finance Minister Arun Jaitley adopted a village in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's home state of Gujarat on Sunday as part of 'Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana'. The 'adopt-a-village' scheme aims to provide rural India with access to basic amenities and opportunities. On Sunday, while adopting Karnali village in Vadodara city, Jaitley interacted with the villagers and offered his prayers at village's ancient 'Kuber Bhandari' temple, which is visited by large number of devotees everyday. Reportedly, Jaitley is to adopt three more villages.
