World smartphone leader, Samsung has officially begun taking the orders for the new Galaxy S5 in India.
Prospective buyers can book the fifth generation Samsung Galaxy phone at the company's official website and Infibeam for ₹1500. The delivery of the flagship phone is said to commence in the second week of April.
Though the final price of the device is yet to be revealed, Samsung has hinted that Galaxy S5 would cost between ₹51,000 and ₹53,000. Company is also offering 15 percent cash back, if paid via Citibank credit card during the payment of the balance amount.
Samsung Galaxy S5 sports 5.1-inch super AMOLED display with full HD (1920x1080p) resolution having pixel density of 440 ppi (pixels per inch) and ships with Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS, Exynos Octa-core processor (1.9GHz quad-core+ 1.3GHz quad-core), 2GB RAM and16GB inbuilt storage (expandable up to 128GB).
Other key features include water-and-dust resistant IP67 certifications, finger-print sensor (on home button), HeartRate Monitor sensor (below Camera module on the rear-side), 16.0-megapixel camera with super-fast 0.3-second auto-focus, HDR, 4K video-recording, a 2.1-megapixel front camera with full HD video recording feature, 2800 mAh battery with Ultra Power Saving Mode can run the device for 21 hours of talk time and close to 390 hours under standby mode.
