Buoyed by the overwhelming response to Moto G in India, American company Motorola is now set to launch their flagship model Moto X in the subcontinent soon.

Motorola confirmed the news during the Q&A session on the company's official Twitter page.

"In next few weeks Moto X will launch in India and Australia", company tweeted. However, Motorola refrained from disclosing the price details of the phone.

The company also said that 'Moto Maker', an online tool which enables users to customize Moto X's cover-case combinations (more than 2000) and personal engraving options on the back panel, would be made available in Europe and Mexico in Q2, which also implies that Indians may not get the opportunity to customize their Moto X during its launch next month (as of now, Moto Maker is only available in USA.)

Moto X originally made its debut in the USA way back in August 2013. Despite not boasting any high-end hardware like flagship devices of rivals Apple and Samsung, the device was an instant hit among the Americans, thanks to its innovative smart gesture-control features.

'Touchless Control' is the standout feature of Moto X. It lets users to text, email, set notifications/reminders, check game scores and perform more operations without having to put a finger on the screen, with the help of the 'always active' microphone, which takes commands from the user. He/she just need to say 'OK Google Now' to unlock the phone.

Moto X also boasts a 'Quick Capture' feature, wherein a user can launch the camera in a matter of seconds, just by flipping the device twice horizontally, and start snapping pictures in no time.

Other stipulated specifications include a 4.7-inch HD (720p) AMOLED screen, Motorola X8 Mobile computing system architecture-based 1.7GHz Qualcomm snapdragon dual-core processor, quad-core Adreno graphics engine, one natural language processor core, contextual processor, 10.0-megapixel camera (with 'Clear Pixel' (RGBC) sensor, LED flash support, full HD1080p video recording, a 2.0-megapixel camera with full HD video recording ability and a 2200 mAh which is capable of proving power back-up for close to 24 hours.
