Earlier, it was reported that the film's audio launch will take place on 28 February, but it was delayed owing to the post-production work. "Kochadaiiyaan" team was reportedly busy in readying the film's trailer, which is expected to be released on 9 March during the audio launch. However, there is no official confirmation on this regard.

The audio launch event is expected to be a grand affair with the presence of the superstar, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone (female lead in "Kochadaiiyaan"), music composer AR Rahman (who has worked on the film's soundtracks), director Soundarya and the film's producers among others.

"Kochadaiiyaan" is deemed as the first Indian film to use 3D motion capture technology and also marks the directorial debut of Soundarya, Rajinikanth's second daughter.

The epic drama will have Rajinikanth appearing in dual roles. Deepika, Shobana, Jackie Shroff, Sarath Kumar, Nassar and Aadhi play pivotal characters in the film.

"Kochadaiiyaan", made on a whopping budget of over ₹100 crore, is jointly produced by Eros International and Media One Global Entertainment. The makers of "Kochadaiiyaan" believe that the Rajini starrer will be a landmark film in world cinema, as ground breaking technology has been used in the film.

The magnum opus is gearing up for a massive release on 11 April as a Tamil New Year treat for fans. The film will be releasing in 6,000 screens worldwide and in various languages including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Bhojpuri, Bengali and Punjabi.
