Indigenous smartphone maker, Xolo has released a new mid-range handset dubbed as the Q1010 in India via online store.

The new Xolo device sports a 5.0-inch HD (1280x720p) IPS screen with OGS (One Glass Solution) technology. It ships with the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS out-of-the-box.

Inside, Xolo Q1010 packs a 1.3GHz MediaTek quad-core processor (with 500MHz Mali 400-MP2 GPU), 1GB RAM, 4GB (expandable up to 32GB), an 8.0-megapixel snapper on the rear side, a 2.0-megapixel front-facing camera for video-chat and a high-capacity 2250 mAh battery, capable for giving back up to 732 hours under standby mode and close to 19 hours of talk time.

As of now, Xolo Q1010 has been made available at online store Flipkart for a ₹12,998, competitively priced to give some challenge to the newly launched Moto G, which also falls in the same class. It will also be up against the local counter parts such as Micromax (Canvas Turbo Mini A200), Karbonn Mobiles (Titanium S5 Plus) and its sister firm Lava (Iris Pro 30).

Last week, the company had unveiled similar mid-range handset Xolo Q1100 for ₹14,999 [MRP]. It too housed similar specifications sans the CPU. It boasted Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 series quad-core processor. However, it is yet is to be released in the market.
