In late December 2013, Samsung had begun taking pre-orders for the new Galaxy Grand 2 in India without revealing the final price. Today, the company has officially begun selling the new mid-range phone.

Prospective buyers can now purchase the Galaxy Grand 2 at the Samsung's official India e-Store and Infibeam for ₹22,999 or else opt for Flipkart, which is offering the same handset at a discounted rate of ₹22,500.

Samsung's Galaxy Grand 2 is the successor of the company's bestselling mid-range smartphone Galaxy Grand. It sports a bigger screen of 5.25-inch HD (1280x720p) TFT display and flaunts faux-leather embroidery on the rear-side, like we see in the premium Galaxy Note 3.

Under-the-hood, it packs 1.2GHz quad-core processor, Android v4.3 Jelly Bean OS, 1.5GB RAM, 8GB (expandable up to 64GB), a 2,600 mAh battery, a 8.0-megapixel main camera (with LED flash & auto focus) and a 1.9-megapixel HD camera on the front.
