A couple of online shops have reportedly begun selling a new Micromax phone, Canvas HD A116i, which is allegedly the successor of the company's first flagship phone - Canvas HD A116.

Going by the device's snapshot and specification list on the e-commerce websites, we can see that Canvas HD A116i looks like a photocopy of its predecessor, Canvas HD A116, which was launched earlier in February. The two devices have no anatomical difference in terms of their exterior texture and internal hardware.

Though the smartphone is already made available at online retailers eBay and ManiacStore, there is no official word from Micromax about the new phone.

Canvas HD A116i sports a 5.0-inch IPS HD (1280x720p) LCD screen with a pixel density of 294 ppi (pixels per inch) and runs on the Android v4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS (v4.2.1 update to be rolled out soon) powered by a 1.2GHz Mediatek quad-core processor backed by PowerVR SGX544 GPU, 1GB RAM and 4GB inbuilt memory.

It also boasts of an 8.0-megapixel main camera, 2.0-megapixel front-facing camera, 2000mAh battery, Dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G network connectivity features.
