Details of the rumored Google-LG Nexus 5 smartphone were reportedly spotted at the American owned FCC (Federal Communication Commission) website.

During the unveiling of the statue of Google's new OS flavour KitKat in front of the Mountain View office headquarters on Tuesday, an employee was seen taking snapshots from an unknown Nexus smartphone, sending rumour mills on an overdrive mode about the Nexus 4 successor.

Adding more weight to the rumours, technology website S4Gru has dug up an unnamed LG smartphone codenamed 'LG D820' from the FCC website. The document has revealed that the device is an LTE variant which is said to be compatible with American carrier networks. The phone is said to have Bluetooth v4.0 LE (Low Energy) technology and dual band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz & 5GHz).

The website also showed some snapshots of the device's back panel, revealing that it would come with wireless charging capabilities. The big camera hole on the back cover was striking similar to the Nexus phone seen in Google's Android Kit Kat unveiling video, giving further evidence that Nexus 5 is real and may soon make its debut.

Soon after report got out, a couple of more tech sites have also come up with details of the alleged Nexus 5 smartphone. Engadget has revealed that the LG device would pack Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series quad-core processor and run on Android v4.4 (Kit Kat), whereas AnandTech claimed that it would sport a 4.96-inch display measuring 131.9 mm tall and 68.2 mm wide.

Even though the above reports do point to the Nexus 5's existence, it can only be confirmed once Google launches it. If the rumours are to be believed, then Nexus fans may not have to wait long as Google is expected to officially unveil Android v4.4 Kit Kat OS along with the Nexus 5 by October end.
