Samsung's top official has reportedly confirmed that the South Korean company would launch two Galaxy devices on 4 September.

Lee Young-hee, Executive vice President of Samsung's Mobile Business, in an exclusive interview with The Korea Times said that Samsung will be introducing its first ever wearable device - Galaxy Gear - and the much-awaited Galaxy Note 3 phablet in Berlin, two days ahead of the annual international consumer electronics show, IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) 2013.

When Young-hee was asked to reveal some key specs of the devices, she categorically declined. However, she did clear the air over the Galaxy Gear's display material. The spokesperson said that smartwatch will flaunt a non-flexible screen contradicting the rumours of bendable display. She reasoned that since the Galaxy Gear is a conceptual device, it will feature a standard non-bendable screen and hinted that company would use bendable screens in future products.

The Samsung smartwatch Galaxy Gear is rumoured to boast calling feature, internet browsing, and users can even check text messages and email. Users are expected to download a smartwatch app, so that they connect their wristwatch to smartphone via Bluetooth technology.
