Nearly three months after the global launch of HTC's flagship HTC One smartphone in February, the device has finally set foot in the Indian markets.

Spice owned e-retail shop Saholic has begun sales of HTC One with incentives like free back-cover worth ₹795, and with the assurance that the smartphone will be delivered to online buyers within eight business days. The device is also up for pre-orders on e-retailer Snapdeal; buyers can pre-order it for ₹1500 and settle the remaining payment on the release date. Another e-shop Infibeam has also listed it as coming soon.

HTC India on 8 April officially launched HTC One in the subcontinent and the company had also announced that the smartphone would hit stores by April end for ₹42,900. But the release was delayed on account of staggered production due to the shortage of camera and other internal components for the smartphone at the factory unit.

Since April-mid week, three smartphones - Samsung Galaxy S4, Google Nexus 4 and Panasonic P51 - have made their way to the Indian market and have the potential to hurt HTC One sales. But there is a glimmer of hope for the Taiwanese manufacturer as HTC One has been hailed as the best Android smartphone in the market by many technology blogs across the world. This might lure Indian consumers away from buying other devices and instead wait until HTC One releases in the country.

The smartphone's striking features are its Aluminum unibody build and its innovative Ultra-Pixel main camera, which is capable of absorbing up to 300 percent more light that will inturn provide crisp quality pictures even during low light environment.

The HTC's flagship smartphone sports a 4.7-inch Super LCD 3 screen with 1920x1080p display resolution and has pixel density of close to 468 ppi (pixel per inch), which is one of the highest display resolution in the smartphone industry. Other specifications include Android v4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS, Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 series quad-core processor with 1.7GHz CPU speed, 2GB RAM and 32GB internal memory.
