Businessman Raj Kundra, who welcomed his first child with wife Shilpa Shetty on Monday, said his son is the "Youngest IPL player in the making."
Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty (36) gave birth to an adorable baby boy in Mumbai's Hinduja hospital. The ecstatic father first announced the news via twitter, just minutes after the child's birth.
"A big thank you to my wife @TheShilpaShetty for the bestest gift ever, DR Kiran Cohelo and all the staff at Hinduja Hospital!," he wrote in his tweet. "God has blessed us with a beautiful baby boy. Both mother and baby are fine. I am thrilled to bits!!!!!!" he added.
This morning, the actress herself took to the micro-blogging site from hospital to share her happiness and thank her fans. She wrote: "Can't believe am a mother now!Ecstatic is an understatement:) Thanku so much fr all the good wishes nd luv all of u have bestowed us n Baby K."
Well, the couple is certainly rejoicing the best time of their life. Just a few minutes back, the overjoyed father tweeted the photograph of the chocolate cake that their celebrity friends had brought to celebrate the good news.
Raj wrote, "Thanks @maanayata_dutt @duttsanjay #Shahraan and #Iqra for my first ever Chocolate cake! Love Baby K."
Kundra, who has repeatedly mentioned to her newborn as "Baby K" a.k.a "Baby Kundra," following the path of Bachchan's who preferred calling their bundle of joy as "Beti B" in public for almost six-long months.
About the wonderful feeling of becoming a dad again, Raj wrote: "Day 2 both mother and father have hardly slept every small noise from the baby and we are up on our feet! Now we value our parents more!"
On an emotional note, Raj added, "After seeing what all a mother goes through to have a baby and give birth, no wonder kids are always closer to their mums!."
Since early morning Tuesday, Raj has been constantly updating the baby news on his twitter account. The businessman personally thanked all the celebrities for their wishes on the site.
"Thank you all for your love and wishes for our new born. Both mum and Baby K are resting. Our Parents now turn grand parents#blessedbaby," Raj thanked his twitter fans.
"My son is a blessing from God! This is the single biggest biological change a man can go through in his entire lifetime! WOW#lifechanging," he wrote on Tuesday.
About the little one, he said "the baby is doing very well and like most! Eating, burping, pooing and sleeping!!!! :)," in a reply to a friend.
Well, in a lighter vein, the entrepreneur also said that, "in another 16 years! Youngest IPL player in the making ;) any age restriction for owners Son?? :)
Raj is the co-owner of the IPL team Rajasthan Royals.
Several celebrities including close friends like R. Madhvan, actress Mahek Chahal, VJ Anusha, businessman Ness Wadia and many other congratulated the couple.
