Jammu & Kashmir, Sep 22 (ANI): The arterial Mughal Road in Kashmir running between the towns of Buffliaz and Shopian, which was rendered inaccessible following landslides caused by the recent heavy rainfall, has been reconstructed and thrown open to traffic. The road has been witnessing heavy traffic ever since it was opened. Residents of Buffliaz, heaved a sigh of relief after the Mughal Road, which is crucial for connectivity to Kashmir, opened up. Vehicles carrying relief material for Kashmir flood victims and other necessary items have been passing through this road which offers the shortest route to Kashmir. Border Roads Organisation (BRO) Commanding Officer, Pankaj Kapur, told reporters that the connectivity to Poonch has been opened from both sides, including Mughal Road and Rajouri on a war footing.
