Arsenal Transfer News: Wenger Set to Complete Moves for Two Midfielders after Agreeing Fees

Arsenal look like they are ready to complete a move for not just one, but two midfielders over the next few days, significantly strengthening that particular department, which has been laid down by mammoth amounts of injuries this season.

Krystian Bielik is a name which would have become quite familiar with Arsenal fans by now, as the Legia Warsaw midfielder has been linked with a move to Arsenal quite heavily over the last month.

While Bielik made it clear he has his heart set on a move to Arsenal after visiting the Emirates and talking to Arsene Wenger, a fee remained to be agreed with Legia Warsaw.

That particular problem now seems to have been sorted out, with Polish newspaper Przeglad Sportowy confirming Legia Warsaw have accepted the Gunners' latest offer, believed to be in the region of £2.5 million.

However, as it usually is the case with Arsenal and transfers everything is not so cut and dry, with Hamburg also coming into the picture over a move for Bielik.

The 17-year-old, who has been dubbed the "new Patrick Vieira" visited the Bundesliga club last weekend with Hamburg reportedly ready to fork out the money that Legia Warsaw has asked for as well.

That means the decision is up to Bielik, and if the comments he has made over the past few weeks is anything to go by, then it does look like Arsenal are set to complete their first signing of the January transfer window.

While only 17, Bielik has played first team football with Legia Warsaw and is expected to be in the reckoning for a first team place at Arsenal as well, if, of course, he does complete the transfer in January.

Meanwhile, Wenger looks like he is on the brink of completing a move for another midfielder, with the Daily Mail claiming Arsenal are close to agreeing a deal with Dinamo Zagreb for Marcelo Brozovic.

Reports on Tuesday said Arsenal had made a second bid for the Croatia international's services and it does look like that bid is close to being accepted by Dinamo Zagreb, with the value of that offer reportedly being £6 million.

The Daily Mail says Dinamo Zagreb are planning for life without Brozovic from January, as they think a transfer to Arsenal is imminent.

While Brozovic is not your typical defensive midfielder – certainly not a William Carvalho or a Morgan Schneiderlin – Wenger is a big fan of the 22-year-old, and believes he can turn him into a deep-lying midfielder, someone who can ping those passes forward while ensuring opponents don't bulldoze their way through and attack the Arsenal back-four.
