Arsenal to Petr Cech is almost a done deal, with the Chelsea goalkeeper near 100% positive a transfer will be completed in the summer.

Ever since it became clear that Cech would leave Chelsea at the end of the season, Arsenal have been heavily linked with the shot-stopper, and even if Arsene Wenger has said enough times he is not interested, the reports have far from quelled.

Arsenal could use a world-class goalkeeper in their ranks, despite David Ospina's impressive debut campaign. Cech certainly fits that world-class-bill, with the only question remaining if Chelsea will be willing to sell to a direct rival.

However, Cech, who has also been linked to the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, Real Madrid and PSG, is reportedly determined to complete a move to Arsenal as it means not having to uproot his family, who are well and truly settled in London.

According to the Metro, who cite a report in the Daily Star, Cech is 99% confident a transfer to Arsenal will materialise when the summer transfer window comes into play.

Those reports of Cech moving to Arsenal only gathered pace after Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho admitted he is powerless to stop the deal from happening.

"If it is in my hands he would never go, he would never go to big clubs with fantastic teams, big candidates to win the Premier League," Mourinho told TalkSport. "I would never let him go.

"But it's not in my hands. My perfect scenario is that he stays with us, I think he belongs to this club, this club belongs to his history and to his life, too.

"He is a fantastic keeper, fantastic dressing room and squad man. I tried to prove the respect I have for him. I played him in the cups, gave him matches in the Premier League.

"I can imagine that a 32 or 33 year old keeper feels young and feels the passion to play every game."

It is believed the final decision lies with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich. While the obvious decision will be to veto any move to a direct rival in the English Premier League, it is understood that Abramovich will leave the final decision up to the player as a reward for Cech's 11 years of outstanding service to the club.
