Arrow Season 7 will return to the screens on October 15 and here's what we know so far.

Even though the makers have been tight-lipped about the storyline and character developments, they have teased the idea of Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) being in a "real prison," which means there's going to be a lot of blood and deep cuts.

Talking to Digital Spy, James Bamford, producer, stunt coordinator and director of Season 7 premiere, said that it will test Queen in ways he wouldn't have imagined and break him down completely. The viewers will get to see him in a different light and probably even feel for him while he tried to adjust to the limitations of a prison.

Meanwhile, showrunner Beth Schwartz promised a bunch of surprises, in terms of secrets that these characters have not shared with the audience yet. Is that even a possibility, given the series has been on the air for 6 years? Time will tell.

The other major development would be how Queen admitting to having been the Green Arrow has left the rest of his team in bad shape. Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), John Diggle (David Ramsey), Rene Ramirez (Rick Gonzalez), Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum), and Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy) are dealing with the consequences in their own ways while saving the city.

There'll be revelations around ARGUS. We've seen Diggle getting help from wife Lyla Michaels (Audrey Marie Anderson), but there's never been a word about who or what funds the organization, who do these officials report to.

Roy Harper (Colton Hayes) is going to be a different person. Although he wouldn't work physically as much as the others on the team, he'll have quite a bit to offer. Rene's past will be explored further. What we know about his days before he became the Wild Dog could very well be just the tip of the iceberg

Season 6 ended with its antagonist fleeing justice, which makes the final one of its kind. The next season will see the team look for drug lord Ricardo Diaz (Kirk Acevedo), but will they succeed considering he will now have a bunch of powerful allies assisting him in his adventures?

The best bit is the creators have confirmed that there's going to be quite a few callbacks from Season 1.
