Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor of "Ishaqzaade" fame is set to act in the Hindi remake of Mahesh Babu's Telugu blockbuster, "Okaddu".

Confirming the reports that he will start the project by the end of 2013, Arjun told IANS," We are doing 'Okkadu', but I am not going to start that till I finish my present films, which will be by the end of this year."

"Okaddu" starring Mahesh Babu and Bhumika Chowla in lead roles hit the screens in 2003 and was declared as one of the blockusters of the year. The movie collected approximately ₹25 crore at the Box Office.

One-film-old Arjun Kapoor has been flooded with many offers post the release of "Ishaqzaade". His most awaited movie of the year titled, "Aurangzeb" is set to hit the screens on 17 May. He plays double role in the movie and shares screen space with South Indian actor Prithiviraj along with Jackie Shroff and Rishi Kapoor.

Arjun will also be seen playing lead role opposite Alia Bhatt in Abhishek Varman' s "2 States" and Ali Abbas Zafar's directorial "Gunday" which also stars Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh.

"I am still shooting for '2 States'. It will release next year. I will have to check my dates as to when I finish shooting for it. I was shooting for 'Gunday' after 'Aurangzeb'." he told the news agency.

Briefing about his role in "2 States", which is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's book with the same title, Arjun said, "I don't play a quintessential romantic-comedy hero. He is geeky and full of sarcasm. I found interesting shades of myself, which I could utilise."

"Two big producers are coming together to build this material, which Chetan Bhagat has written...it is an amazing feeling to be a part of it," he added.

Arjun went on to praise his co-star Alia by saying "Alia is an amazing co star. She is so full of life...beautiful girl".

"2 States" is directed by Abhishek Varman and produced by Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala.
