Apple is reportedly planning to release the newly unveiled iPhone SE in India early next month.

Apple's official retail distributor Beetel Teletech (a subsidiary of Brightstar Global) has confirmed that the new iPhone SE will be available from April 8 at more than 3500 retail locations across India.

Apple's new iPhone SE sports a 4.0-inch retina display with Touch-ID fingerprint sensor on the home button. It features latest iOS (v9.3), Apple's proprietary A9 SoC (System-on-Chip), M9 co-processor and 16GB/64GB inbuilt storage.

It also comes packed with 12MP iSight camera with 4K video recording ability, live photos feature and on the front, it houses 1.2MP FaceTime camera with Retina flash.

Apple iPhone SE will be made available first in America, Australia and select European and  Asian regions March 31 onwards.  It comes in four colour options -- gold, silver, space grey and rose gold.
