Speculations were lately doing the rounds that Apple products - new iphone or iPhone 5 and iPad mini - would be announced and released on the same day. On the contrary, latest reports claimed that the much-anticipated products would hit the market separately.
Various sections of the media have reported that Apple would announce both iPhone 5 and iPad mini on Sept 12 and start shipping the device ten days later on Sept 21.
Not convinced that the Apple products would be released on the same day, Daring Fireball's John Gruber reasoned that the products are too big to share the spotlight. He added that iPad mini would be launched in October.
"I don't think Apple would want reviews of both a new iPhone and new-size iPad appearing at the same time. Why share the spotlight? Why have another Apple product battling with the iPhone for the top spots in news coverage? So I thought, well, maybe they'd only seed the review units of the iPhone on September 12, with the new-size iPad going into reviewer hands a few weeks later," wrote John Gruber.
"I'm thinking it makes more sense for Apple to hold two events. First, an iPhone event, focused solely on the new iPhone and iOS 6. Then, the iPhone ships nine days later, and there's another wave of iPhone-focused attention as the reviews come out," he wrote. "Then, in the first or second week of October, Apple holds its traditional "music event", exactly along the lines of the events at which they've been debuting new iPods for the last decade."
A trusted Verizon employee just confirmed that the carrier is having an all-staff vacation blackout from the dates of Friday, September 21 to September 30, reported TechCrunch.
Pricedekho.com reported that the next-generation smartphone from Apple would arrive India either in October or November and is expected to be priced ₹45,000 approximately.
Meanwhile, the Cupertino giant remains tight-lipped on the release date of its upcoming iPhone till date.
