Malayalam actors Shine Tom Chacko and Aparna Gopinath have been roped in to play the lead roles in the upcoming movie, which has been titled Oru Nakshathramulla Aakasham. The movie is the directorial venture of Ajith Pulleri and Suneesh Babu.

Oru Nakshathramulla Aakasham is said to be narrating the emotions of Keralites living outside the state. Similar to the character played by Nivin Pauly in the blockbuster movie Bangalore Days, the excitement and longing of Keralites to get back to their hometown are being explored in the upcoming movie.

Shine, who was recently seen in a notable role in Ann Maria Kalippilaanu, plays the protagonist, a Bangalore-based Malayali professor, in Oru Nakshathramulla Aakasham. His character is expected to be a chronic bachelor, who is also being loved by many of his students. The actor was also appreciated for his performance in Dulquer Salmaan's previous release Kammatipaadam.

Aparna, who made her notable presence in Dulquer Salmaan's blockbuster movie ABCD, will be seen playing as Uma, who hails from Kanjangad in Kasargod. Calling it as an interesting role that evokes nostalgia, the actress told The Times of India: "Mine is an exciting role and the film has a thrilling tale which starts in Bangalore and ends in Kerala. She was last seen in Rosshan Andrews directorial venture School Bus opposite Jayasurya.

Oru Nakshathramulla Aakasham also stars KB Ganesh Kumar, Santhosh Keezhattoor and Sujith Shankar in significant roles.
