Anushka Sharma celebrates daughter Vamika's 5th birthday, re-shares post calling motherhood a "paradox"

Anushka Sharma has almost bid adieu to the industry since the birth of her daughter, Vamika Kohli. Soon, she and Virat Kohli welcomed another bundle of joy to the world and named their son Akaay. Both Virat and Anushka have been extremely private and guarded about their kids and not letting them be seen by the media.

Anushka on motherhood

As Vamika turns five today, Anushka Sharma has re-shared a post celebrating every bit of motherhood and calling it a "paradox."

"And, I wouldn't go back to any version of me that didn't know you, my child," Sharma wrote adding Vamika's date of birth. The post takes us through the journey of motherhood and how it changes one. "Motherhood changes you in ways that matter. You don't have to stay who you were before," it read.

"Let motherhood change you - and take responsibility for this new version of you," it further said. "Motherhood is a paradox - love and exhaustion, growth and grief, all living side by side. All these feelings are exhausting enough," it further mentioned.

Virat on spending quality family time

Anushka and Virat have moved their base to London ever since the birth of their kids. Many cricketers and coaches have confirmed that they did this to get privacy and be able to spend quality family time without any media glares.

Virat Kohli, in a recent interview, said how slowing down and moving to London gave him the time to be there for his family. "I got to spend some real quality time with my kids and family something I haven't been able to do much over the years. It's been a beautiful phase, one that I deeply cherish," he had said in an interview.
