As expected, Dhanush's "Angean" has opened to fabulous numbers on its opening day.

As per the latest report, the movie's all India gross comes to approximately ₹6.55 Crore which much higher than the first day collection of Dhanush's latest Bollywood flick "Shamitabh".

"Shamithabh's" opening day box office collection in India was ₹3.5 Crore.

"Shamitabh" directed by R Balki had Amitabh Bachchan and Akshara Haasan in the lead.

Meanwhile, the nett box office collection division of "Anegan" all over India on its opening day is as follows.

Tamil Nadu - ₹ 5.80 Cr

Kerala - ₹ 40 Lakhs

Karnataka - ₹ 35 Lakhs

Total 0 ₹6.65 Crore (Approximate)

"#Anegan Net Collections- Friday - TN = Rs 5.80 Cr + Kerala =Rs 40 lakhs + Karnataka = Rs 35 L. Total India - Rs 6.55 Cr (Approx). Fabulous," tweeted industry analyst Sreedhar Pillai.

Meanwhile, celebrations have already started for Dhanush after receiving some highly positive response from audience. The actor also organised a success party for the cast and crew of the movie and his close friends -- actor Simbu and music composer Anirudh -- also joined the celebrations.

The movie revolves around a video game designer Madhumadhi (Amyra Dastur) who works in a multinational company owned by Ravi Kiran (Karthik). Aswin (Dhanush) is newly recruited to the company as a system head.

Madhu falls in love with Aswin the moment she meets him, but Aswin thinks Madhu is crazy when she explains that they have been soul mates in three previous births but they could never be together as destiny forbade them.

A series of thrilling turn of events in their lives connect them to their previous lives and the characters in their present lives.

"Anegan" has raised the bar for Dhanush who had portrayed four different roles in four different looks with ease.

"Anegan" star cast includes Aishwarya Devan, Lena, Ashish Vidyarthi, Mukesh Tiwari and Vinaya Prasad.
