Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC on Saturday begun the official roll out of Android v4.2 Jelly Bean and Sense v5.0 UI to its 2012-model HTC One X in India.

The company confirmed the news via the official Facebook page saying, "Have you updated your HTC One X to Sense 5? Please check for updates on your device like this: Go to Settings > About > Software Updates > Check now. Do remember to check that box for "Update over Wi-Fi only" to help conserve your data usage."

The the v4.2 Jelly Bean update is said to be rolled out in a phased manner and is expected to reach all Indian HTC One Max smartphones in a few days time.

The new firmware update is said to bring in new camera apps, Photo Sphere (360-degree angle image taking ability), gesture typing key board, new clock, more shortcuts on Lock Screen and is also said to improve smartphone performance as well. It also includes Sense v5.0 UI which is said to bring BlinkFeed, a feature which brings real-time updates on comments and reaction of friends on social websites such as Facebook and Twitter right on the home screen. The new UI will also come with simplified Music folder for easy access.

HTC One X made its India debut in early 2012. It sports a 4.7-inch Super LCD 2 HD screen (720x1280p) and runs on Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS along with Sense v4.0 UI. Other key specifications include 1.5GHz quad-core processor, ULP GeForce graphics, 8.0-megapixel main camera (LED flash and full HD recording),1.3-megapixel front camera and 1800 mAh Li-Polymer battery.
