Huawei Honor 5X is all set to enter the US market and it will be available on Amazon and Newegg starting 31 January. It's now confirmed that the device will receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA (over-the-air) update soon, though it will come running on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

US-bound Honor 5X will get Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update on the day of its release, i.e., 31 January, along with the latest build of EMUI4, Android Authority reported, citing Huawei. The device is also expected to get regular Android security patches along with the firmware.

Huawei Honor 5X, which was launched in China in October last year, was showcased at the recently concluded Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 in Las Vegas. It is priced at CNY 999 for 2GB RAM variant and CNY 1,399 for the 3GB RAM variant in China and it will come with a price tag of $199.99 in the US.

It may be mentioned here that Huawei Honor 5X sports a 5.5-inch Full-HD display with 1080 x 1920 pixels (401 ppi pixel density) and comes with fingerprint scanner. Under the hood, it has Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocking at 1.5 GHz, Adreno 405 GPU, 16GB internal memory expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card and 3 GB RAM. It also has a 13MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture, 5MP front snapper and 3,000mAh battery equipped with Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
