While several Samsung devices, including its latest smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S4 are expected to get Android 4.4.3 KitKat update soon, it's still not sure if Galaxy Note II and Note 3 Neo will get the firmware.

Samsung Galaxy Note II and Galaxy Note 3 Neo already function on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, but they are not in the list of devices that are expected to receive Android 4.4.3 KitKat update in the next few months. However, these devices are also expected to get the upcoming new firmware in the future.

Google is expected to release Android 4.4.3 KitKat update for Galaxy S4, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Tab 4, Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, Tab Pro 10.1, Tab Pro 12.2 and several devices from other smartphone makers like Samsung, HTC, Sony, LG and Motorola soon, according SamMobile. It added citing a tipster that some devices might upgrade directly to 4.4.3 instead of 4.4.2.

The release date of the firmware is still not known, but some devices are expected to receive it either in May or June, while others may get a little later.

"KTU84F should be final Android 4.4.3 build. It's coming on Nexus and Google Play edition devices soon," LLabTooFeR had tweeted last month. The tipster also claimed on its website last month that "Android 4.4.3 (KTU84F) is under final tests and latest flagships like M8 and M7 will get 4.4.3 in near future." Reports have it that Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 will be the first devices to get the new firmware before being rolled out for other smartphones.

Android 4.4.3 KitKat update will fix bugs found in smartphones and also may enhance performance and make devices more stable. However, it is unlikely to come with new features. Several reports claimed that Android 4.4.2 KitKat users are facing issues like reboots, and problems with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, which the new firmware will solve.
