The wedding rituals of actress Amulya and Jagadish R Chandra kick-started on Wednesday, 10 May with mehendi and sangeet ceremonies. 

Shilpa Ganesh, wife of Golden Star Ganesh, took the responsibility of organising the sangeet and mehendi ceremonies at her residence in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bengaluru. On the other side, groom Jagadish R Chandra had 'chapparada pooje' and 'vastra pooje' along with 'arishina shastra'.

Close relatives of the couple and a few members from the film fraternity were invited for the pre-wedding ceremonies. Among film celebrities, Duniya Vijay, actor Prem, Sharan, Anirudh, Priyanka Upendra, Sudharani, Shruthi, Malavika Avinash and many others were spotted at the pre-wedding event. 

The couple will tie the knot at Adichunchungiri on May 12. Only close friends and family members will attend the wedding.

However, Amulya and Jagadish have planned a grand wedding reception next week, which is expected to be attended by the who's who of Sandalwood.

Shilpa Ganesh, who is a close friend of Amulya, had introduced the actress to the groom. The couple spent quite some time together to understand each other before deciding to get married with blessings from both the families.

Amulya and Jagadish got engaged in March at a grand event in the presence of the stalwarts of the film industry.

Jagadish is the son of politician Ramachandra Gowda. He pursued MBA in London and now runs his own business.
