Amidst speculation about another surgery, Amitabh Bachchan, who underwent an abdominal surgery recently, has clarified that "another surgery was avoidable".
"In the midst of intense discussions between the medical team and the family, there seemed to be an opinion arriving that perhaps another surgery was avoidable and that some of the blood reports which had reached alarming levels were beginning to show signs of improvement" Amitabh Bachchan wrote on his blog Saturday night.
The 69-year-old actor underwent an abdominal surgery Friday in Mumbai's SevenHills Hospital.
The actor is recuperating and there is no sign of any worries for his heath.
On Thursday, the actor tweeted, "Some more tests.. more unpronounceable medication ... and ... another visit to the OT .. operation theater ! Going to be a long stay. I have no idea now how long this will take, but it does look as though it will be long .. thank you for your prayers and love."
Amitabh has a long history of stomach ailments since his intestinal injury during the set of "Coolie" (1982).
