International celebrities Sharon Stone, Hilary Swank and Kesha attended the first ever amfAR (The Foundation for AIDS Research) fund-raising event in Mumbai on Sunday, hosted by Bollywood's star couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Aishwarya looked gorgeous in an embroidered lehenga created by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, while husband Abhishek wore a matching black coat suit.Chairman of amfAR, Kenneth Cole also attended the event.
"This is first event of amfAR in India and I am confident we will have several more to come in our country. I hope we all collectively raise funds, spread awareness and strengthen the force," Aishwarya pointed out.
The former Miss World was all praise for Hollywood star Stone and stated that she deserves a salute for passionately working for the cause.
Meanwhile, the "Basic Instinct" actress had earlier praised the Bachchan couple and revealed that she was looking forward to meeting them. She also added that she loves India and wants to see the Taj Mahal.
It was a black colour day for the Hollywood celebrities. Stone looked stunning in a black gown with a slit till the thigh, while singer Kesha arrived in a short black dress and two-time Oscar winner Swank wore a black gown.
Several Indian celebrities, like Dimple Kapadia, Nargis Fakhri, Sophie Choudhry, Shahzahn Padamsee, Lisa Haydon, Sonal Chauhan, Dino Morea, Suchitra Pillai and others also attended the event.
Kesha performed after designers Rohit Bal, Tarun Tahiliani, and Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla showcased their collections at the event.
