The "American Idol" 2014's top two finalists Jena Irene and Caleb Johnson performed live one last time on Tuesday for America's votes, before one of them will be announced the winner of the show.

The winner of "American Idol" 2014 will be announced during Wednesday's episode, which will be telecast at 9:00 pm EST on Fox (7:30am IST, Thursday). Host Ryan Seacrest will declare the winner.

Tuesday's episode saw the finalists performing three songs each, consisting of one chosen by creator Simon Fuller, one which is already being performed by the contestants this season, and the last one being a composition that will be released after the competition.

Jena Irene: The powerhouse opened the night with Fuller's choice "Dog Days Are Over" by Florence + The Machine. It was a rocking performance. Irene then took on Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love With You", which she had performed earlier. She nailed the song again, may be even better than the last time.

Irene's last song was "We Are One". It's a song that suits her voice and so she starred not only with her performance but also due to her stage presence. Irene was not on the piano this time but she interacted with the audience and tried to reach out to them, which is important at this stage of the competition.

Caleb Johnson: The rocker kicked off with Aerosmith's "Dream On" chosen by Fuller. It's a hard song to perform and, on top of that, Johnson was hit by an illness that affected his voice but he did not show any sign of trouble during Tuesday's performance. The second song was Paul McCartney's "Maybe I'm Amazed", which he had sung earlier in the season. He did it again, though judges thought he could have done a little better.

Johnson's final song was "As Long As You Love Me". He delivered what was expected of him - rock and roll - and the audience seemed to love it.

Looking at the live performances, it's going to be a tough fight between the finalists. Judges Harry Connick Jr., Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez were not in the mood to give even a small hint on who would win the title, leaving the matter completely to the audience.

Who do you think will win "American Idol" title tonight - Jena Irene or Caleb Johnson?
