The actress is known for her role as Lydia Martin in MTV's Teen Wolf. She will now take over as Bridget Cleary, wife of Michael Cleary acted by Cathal Pendred, who believes that she is a fairy's changeling.

Describing her role in the online series, Deadline explains that Roden plays the role of a dressmaker and an egg dealer who lives with her husband Michael. She is an exceptional woman who is liberated by the invention of the sewing machine and the refrigerated railway car and makes more money than her husband. In the series, she will be seen proving the impossible -- that she's the true Bridget Cleary and not a fairy's changeling.

The show is set in Ireland of 1895.

Lore is based on a podcast with the same title and was an award-winning and critically acclaimed podcast created by Aaron Mahnke in 2015. It explores the dark side of human nature, Screen Rant reports.

The podcast explored everything – from vampirism to murder to origins of zombies. All these topics were based on historically accurate information and folkloric tales that the maker researched.

The Amazon adaptation is aiming at recreating a similar format as FX's American Horror Show on the online streaming platform. The horror anthology has completed six seasons and every season spooks viewers with different stories. Every season could be considered as a miniseries on its own.

Lore has Aaron Mahnke, Gale Anne Hurd, Propagate's Ben Silverman, Howard T Owens, and Brett-Patrick Jenkins on the executive producer's chairs. The episode in which Holland will be seen will be written by David Chiu and Patrick Wall and Thomas J Wright will direct it.
