The latest buzz has it that Andrew Garfield has been rooted out from the "Spider-Man" series. A bevy of new emails, courtesy Sony hack, have revealed that makers are not happy with the actor. This is supposedly one of the reasons, why Garfield may not reprise his role. Another thing, which has come to surface, is Marvel's involvement in the series.

Sony has decided to give up the popular franchise to Marvel and they intend to start the series from a clean slate, as reported by Daily Mail.

In "Amazing Spider-Man 2" Peter Parker's love interest Gwen Stacy died and since then it has been predicted that Mary Jane will be introduced in the upcoming "Amazing Spider-Man" film.

However, if Marvel is considering taking over the popular franchise, then it may mean a whole new cast and a story. "The new films will take a different turn, focusing on Peter's difficult childhood dealing with his powers, as well as romance side-story instead of being just an action film," said Latino Review.

Moreover, adding to the speculations, Movie Pilot has said in its report that Drake Bell, who is known to give his voice in "Ultimate Spider-Man" cartoon can very well clinch the role. Bell is 27 years old and his boyish charm can very well be considered while choosing a new Spiderman. The actor is already a Marvel actor and the makers may not look further, while choosing their Peter Parker.

Sony, Marvel, and Garfield are yet to comment on the hacked emails. The confidential emails in regard to Spiderman movie have come after a series of other mails regarding to Angelina Jolie, Seth Rogan and other actors were revealed.
