Amanda Bynes reportedly paraded wacky behaviour in a New York clothing store, dancing wildly before allegedly trying  to shoplift an item from the store.

The video footage released by TMZ shows Bynes browsing through the shelves of New York boutique Pookie & Sebastian and breaking into the dance moves. She allegedly tried to steal a shirt from the store before an employee stopped her but she was caught at Barneys a little later.

Sources told TMZ that Bynes was caught by security guards at Barneys on Madison Ave after trying to leave the store with a $200 hat without paying for it. NYPD officers came to the store to question the actress but the security had already her off, according to the website.

However, Bynes told the security guards that he had no intention of stealing the hat but used it to cover her face when fans chased her inside the Barneys store, sources told TMZ. It added that Bynes was made to sign a no-trespass agreement, which means she can't enter the store again.

It may be recalled that Bynes was arrested for DUI last year. She was reportedly hospitalised for medical treatment and her parent were given her temporary conservatorship, according to the Website. In 2013, she agreed to take counselling for the New York marijuana incident but was once again detained for a DUI in September 2014.

The actress also took to Twitter on Wednesday to express her opinion on her alleged interview for InTouch Weekly. She claimed that the interview was false and threaten to sue the magazine for lying about her.

She also said on twitter that she is also going to sue Star magazine and all other media outlets who are lying about her and claiming that they have her interview.

Bynes is best known for her role in Nickelodeon series "All That" and "The Amanda Show." She was also featured in the sitcom, "What I Like About You." She retired from acting in 2012.
