Comedian-turned-actor Kapil Sharma got miffed with his friend Ranveer Singh as the latter demanded a huge amount to host an episode of "Comedy Nights With Kapil".

Everyone knows that Kapil is making his debut in Abbas Mastan's "Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon". However, almost every film star has appeared on his show "Comedy Nights With Kapil" to promote their films. Thus, the comedian expected to promote his own flick in his show but he wanted someone else to host it.

Apparently, many actors volunteered to wish Kapil luck on social media. Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Sonakshi Sinha and Ajay Devgn supported Kapil with video messages and wished him good luck.

As all these stars are busy with their own projects and are not in Mumbai currently, Kapil reportedly asked Ranveer Singh, with whom he shares a warm relationship, to host one episode of "CNWK".

"Kapil's team narrowed down on Ranveer, who has been on CNWK on more than one occasion. And the two have had a blast. One had seen a genuine bond between the two when Ranveer appeared on the show for Gunday, Dil Dhadakne Do and other films," The Times of India quoted a source.

It seems Kapil was not aware how showbiz works. The talent management which represents Ranveer asked a huge amount as a fee for one episode, according to the TOI.

This came as a shock to Kapil and all the members who were involved.

"He was asked whether he would host an episode for Kapil. They also checked what he usually charges for such things. However, he had to decline the offer because Bajirao Mastani has a deadline and it would be impossible to get Sanjay Leela Bhansali's permission at this stage," TOI quoted Ranveer's spokesperson as saying.

Whether it was just a matter of date clash or something else, we cannot say. But when Ranveer appeared on the show to promote "Dil Dhadakne Do", he promised Kapil on air that he would host the show to promote "Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon".

However, it seems Gauahar Khan came to the rescue and hosted that one episode, according to the photos shared on social media.
