Alia Bhatt walks hand-in-hand with Vicky Kaushal at Mijwan show; fans ask, 'Is Katrina Kaif fine?'

It was a star-studded Saturday night as Bollywood actors Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt walked the runway looking breathtakingly beautiful for Manish Malhotra's Mijwan Fashion Show in Mumbai. The actors, who will be seen together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love And War, served as showstoppers at the fundraiser. Their appearance came on the same day that new character posters of Vicky from Love and War were unveiled, keeping the upcoming film in focus.

Several photos and videos of Alia and Vicky walking the ramp have gone viral. The clips show Alia opening the act, followed by Vicky joining her. The two then stopped on the ramp and posed.

Alia and Vicky were seen romantically posing on the ramp, their eyes locked and lovingly gazing at each other. Another clip shows Alia and Vicky walking hand-in-hand on the ramp. Alia held Vicky close by the arm.

While walking the ramp, she gave flying kisses to her mother-in-law, Neetu Kapoor, who was seated in the audience.

For the stunning walk, Alia Bhatt looked like a vision in white. She wore a full custom chikankari couture look, styled by Rhea Kapoor. She paired it with a lace dupatta over her head and a bralette, flaunting her midriff.

Her pallu was draped over her shoulder, showing off the stylish, modern blouse and the intricate work on the saree.

For accessories, Alia wore a massive diamond-and-pearl necklace set in white gold, further accentuated with diamond-encrusted haath phools on both hands, statement earrings and a mang tikka.

Designer Manish Malhotra unveiled his latest Mijwan collection on Saturday, celebrating 15 years of fine artisan craft from the Mijwan Welfare Society. The collection featured exquisite chikankari and thread-work embroidery in signature ivory, deep green, coral and ombré shades.

Vicky opted for a midnight-blue-and-ivory sherwani set from Manish Malhotra's Mijwan collection. It featured a white kurta, matching flared pants and a bandhgala jacket.

The highlight of his look was the jacket, which came decked with intricate chikankari work, sequin embellishments and a tailored fit. The split bandhgala, with a collared neck, padded shoulders, full-length sleeves, an open front with a single-button closure, and side slits, completed the look.

Netizens had mixed responses to Alia and Vicky's ramp walk. Many said they looked stunning, while others said Katrina might not like it and sympathised with her. Some also slammed Vicky for staying quiet after Katrina's trolling and said that when Salman stood up for her on Weekend Ka Vaar, Vicky should have posted on Instagram for Katrina.

Ranbir was also not there during Vicky and Alia's ramp walk.

Mijwan Fashion Show

The Mijwan Fashion Show is organised in support of the Mijwan Welfare Society, which was founded by poet Kaifi Azmi in 1993 to support women and girls in Mijwan, Azamgarh. The organisation is now managed by his daughter, actor Shabana Azmi. Manish Malhotra has collaborated with the society for 15 years, showcasing the traditional chikankari work of its artisans.

Several other members of the Hindi film industry attended the fundraiser, including Rakul Preet Singh, Jackky Bhagnani, Javed Akhtar, Diana Penty and Boney Kapoor.

From Ranbir-Deepika to Ranveer-Deepika, Mijwan has seen star pairings

Manish Malhotra's Mijwan show has previously featured several prominent Bollywood pairings. Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone walked together at the Mijwan show in 2014 and reunited on the same runway in 2018. Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma were also among the showstoppers at the 2017 edition, while Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone made their Mijwan runway debut as a couple in 2022.

For the unversed, Love And War is directed and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It brings Ranbir, Alia and Vicky together as the lead cast. The three actors have previously shared screen space in different combinations. Ranbir and Alia starred together in Brahmastra, while Alia and Vicky worked together in Raazi. Ranbir and Vicky were seen together in Sanju.
