As the 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' actress made her way to the coveted spot and waved at the paparazzi; majority of them seemed to have ignored her. The video showed the paps paying their complete attention to another celebrity walking behind Alia.
Soon, the videos of the turn-of-events started floating on social media and gained momentum. Many accused L'oreal of not letting Aishwarya Rai Bachchan shine at the red carpet. Majority of netizens trolled Alia Bhatt of not having any global recognition. A person shared the video on social media and poked fun at the Bhatt girl's "aura".

Alia's fans also rallied in to jump to the actress' defence. "Also, judging someone's "aura" from a short viral moment can be unfair—public appearances are just a small snapshot, not the full picture of their popularity or impact," a fan wrote.
