TCL Communications' owned Alcatel One Touch has released its new smartphone Idol X+ in India with a price tag of ₹16,999.
Like Moto E, the e-retailer Flpkart is the exclusive seller of the new Alcatel Idol X+ smartphone and the phone will be available for purchase from 3 June. The in-box contents of the Alactel new octa-core smartphone include Boomband and JBL headphones. The BoomBand will track the activities of the users and will also raise alarm in case the phone is left behind.
The handset which made its global debut at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2014, Las Vegas sports 5.0-inch full HD display with 1080x1920 pixel resolutions and is powered by 2.0GHz MediaTek processor coupled with Mali 400 graphics engine and 2GB RAM. Shipped with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box, the latest entrant into the octa-core segment packs 16GB inbuilt storage, 13.0-megapixel camera with LED flash, a 2.0-megapixel front facing camera with full HD video recording ability.
On the connectivity front, the handset supports 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, GRPS/ EDGE, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP and stereo FM radio. The handset is backed by 2500 mAh battery which claims up to 27 hours of talk-time and 650 hours under standby mode on 2G.
The handset will be available in Spin Black and Spin White colours and will compete with the smartphones like Micromax Canvas Knight A350, Intex Aqua Octa, Wickedleak Wammy Passion X and Karbonn Titanium Octane.
