Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is set to get his first release of 2026. On April 10, 2026, his film Bhooth Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan, will hit theatres. The duo has collaborated on several films in the past, especially the popular Hera Pheri franchise.
Ahead of the release, Akshay Kumar, along with his mother-in-law Dimple Kapadia, visited the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple to seek blessings from Lord Shiva.
Videos of the visit have gone viral. In the clips, Akshay is seen offering prayers at the temple. While he is dressed in an all-white traditional outfit, Dimple Kapadia is seen in a pink saree. In one of the clips, the duo can be spotted holding a brass pot filled with water for the jal abhishek ritual.
In another video, Akshay Kumar is seen bowing before Nandi Dev's idol and whispering his wishes into its ears.
However, Twinkle Khanna was not present for the temple darshan. A clip also shows Akshay getting mobbed, but the actor shields his mother-in-law and protects her from devotees who had gathered around them.

Akshay Kumar and Dimple Kapadia share a warm bond, and at many events, Akshay has been seen taking utmost care of her.

For the unversed, Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna got married in 2001 and are parents to son Aarav and daughter Nitara.
Priyanka Chopra at Golden Temple washes utensils as part of seva
On the other hand, Priyanka Chopra, who is in India for the shoot of her upcoming film Varanasi, was seen performing 'bartan seva' during her visit to the Golden Temple.
A video circulating on social media shows Priyanka washing utensils within the temple premises. Dressed in a pink suit, she kept her dupatta draped over her head.
The visit took place on March 31, coinciding with the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti.
Well, not many know that Priyanka Chopra's rumoured affair with Akshay Kumar was once one of the hottest topics in Bollywood.
The two worked together in films like Andaaz, Aitraaz, and Waqt: The Race Against Time in three successive years. They were also supposed to collaborate on Barsaat and had even shot a song for it.
Director Suneel Darshan revealed in a recent interview that rumours of their alleged relationship had reached Twinkle Khanna, Akshay's wife, which led to a difficult situation. He said Akshay gave him an ultimatum: it would have to be either him or Priyanka, and Suneel chose to continue with Priyanka.
However, none of the actors involved ever publicly commented on the controversy.
Now, both have moved on. Akshay is happily married to Twinkle, while Priyanka has shifted her base to Los Angeles after marrying Nick Jonas.
