
Congratulations are in order for Akansha Ranjan Kapoor and filmmaker Sharan Sharma, as the couple are set to begin a new chapter by tying the knot in an intimate ceremony in Mumbai on July 11, 2026. Staying away from traditional wedding customs, the couple have chosen to have a registered marriage in the presence of their closest family members and friends.
According to News18, the legal ceremony will take place at the Ranjan residence, where the couple will officially register their marriage before celebrating the occasion with their loved ones.
The star-studded wedding reception will be held on July 12 at JW Marriott.

As per reports, the high-profile guest list at the reception will include Akansha's childhood best friend Alia Bhatt, whose friendship began at Juhu's Jamnabai Narsee School. "Apart from Alia, actors like Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Athiya Shetty, and Kiara Advani will also be a part of their special day at JW Marriott. Filmmakers Ektaa R Kapoor and Karan Johar are part of the guest list as well," the source further added.
Who is Akansha Ranjan Kapoor?
Akansha was born on September 18, 1993, to actor-director Shashi Ranjan, publisher of GR8 magazine, and Anu Ranjan, founder of the Indian Television Academy. She is the younger sister of actress and model Anushka Ranjan.

She completed her schooling at Jamnabai Narsee School before pursuing a two-year acting diploma at Whistling Woods, followed by a course at the ITA School of Performing Arts.
Akansha is best known as Alia Bhatt's childhood best friend. The duo shares a close bond that dates back to their school days and are often seen celebrating each other's milestones, travelling together, and appearing on each other's social media profiles.

She is currently seen opposite Amol Parashar in the web series Gram Chikitsalay, which has already been renewed for a second season.
Sharan is a well-known filmmaker in Bollywood, having made his directorial debut with Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. He most recently helmed the sports drama Mr. and Mrs. Mahi, starring Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor. Before turning director, he worked as an assistant and creative director on films like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
