Gaurav Khanna's wife and Lock Upp 2 fame Akanksha Chamola has been making headlines over her divorce from the actor. In fact, she revealed details about their separation on the reality show.
Ever since her revelation, Gaurav has largely maintained silence, while Akanksha has been openly speaking about her marriage and the ongoing divorce proceedings.
Recently, Akanksha opened up about the emotional impact of her estranged husband Gaurav Khanna's appearance on Lock Upp 2 as a visiting guest. Akanksha revealed that she entered the Netflix reality show with a clear mindset, believing that everything was fine with her family back home. However, Gaurav's visit brought information that left her deeply disturbed and affected her confidence in the game.
Speaking on Farah Khan's food vlog YouTube channel, Akanksha admitted that she had started doubting her gameplay after receiving the information. "Us ghar mein, Lock Upp ke andar, shayad main utna convince ho gayi thi ki shayad mera gameplay utna hai nahi. Wo confidence mujhe mein chala gaya tha," she said. ("In that house, inside Lock Upp, I perhaps became convinced that maybe my gameplay wasn't good enough. I lost that confidence in myself," she said.)
She then opened up about her conversation with Gaurav during his appearance on the show.
Akanksha recalled, "Jab main Lock Upp mein aayi thi, I came with that mindset ki chalo ghar pe sab set hai... whatever happens they are ready for it." ("When I entered Lock Upp, I came with the mindset that everything was fine at home... whatever happens, they are ready for it.")
However, she said everything changed when she received information that things were not fine back home. "Jab wo ek information aaya ki things are not right back home, that is what shattered me," she said.
When Farah asked whether things were actually not right, Akanksha confirmed that they were. She explained that she had initially entered the show believing that her family had accepted her for who she was. During the first few weeks, she was able to focus entirely on the game without worrying about what was happening outside. However, Gaurav's appearance changed that.
Akanksha said that once she received the information, she could not stop thinking about her family. "You will keep thinking about your daughter, you will keep thinking about your son, you will keep thinking about your family till the time you don't know," she said while speaking to Farah.
While Akanksha did not reveal how her family reacted to the divorce news, she maintained that they were aware of what was happening in their personal life.

Akanksha also made a sharp remark about Gaurav's visit to the Lock Upp 2 house, saying that she would have preferred her parents or even her pet dog to visit her instead.
While talking to Shreya Kalra and Shilpa Shinde, Akanksha referred to Gaurav as a "stranger" and said, "Mera kutta hi aa jata" (My dog could have come instead).
Akanksha later explained that since she and Gaurav were separating, he was no longer her "comfort zone". She said, "I really wanted to have my comfort zone. Obviously, I am getting separated from Gaurav. I would not find him coming to the show to be a comforting thing for me."
Orry reacts to Akanksha and Gaurav's divorce
Meanwhile, Orry (Orhan Awatramani), who participated with Gaurav in Khatron Ke Khiladi 15, reacted to an Instagram post questioning whether Akanksha Chamola was deliberately portraying Gaurav in a negative light.
The Glitz Media shared a post on Instagram that read, "Gaurav Khanna in the negative spotlight again. Coincidence or deliberate?" The post featured a collage of Gaurav alongside Akanksha Chamola and KKK 15 co-contestant Shagun Sharma, who had earlier accused Gaurav of "bullying" her.
Reacting to the post, Orry accused Akanksha of "blackening" Gaurav's name and allegedly using his popularity for views.
He wrote, "She is just blackening his good name and milking his fame for her own views. No one knows who she is. I didn't even know he was married, and we shared a vanity van for a month in Cape Town during KKK filming. This is completely shameless behaviour, to test and take advantage of a good man. This girl is a real snake in the grass."
Akanksha confirms divorce proceedings
Meanwhile, after her Lock Upp 2 stint, Akanksha confirmed that her divorce from Gaurav is indeed happening and rejected claims that their separation was a publicity stunt to garner TRPs.
"I don't think any woman would go on such a big platform and announce that she is getting divorced from her husband just for TRPs. And if people still think that, I don't know what to say to them. Please come to my house and speak to my legal team," she said.
Akanksha further clarified that the legal formalities are already in progress and that only the final divorce papers remain to be signed.
"Even before I entered Lock Upp, our legal teams were already discussing this matter. It's just that we just have to sign the papers now. The process has already been done. So, this is not something we are doing for TRPs," she said.
