"Producer AM Rathnam declares that the final touches to the post production is on and the film would get censored by 21 of January," said a press statement.

"To treat the audience's huge expectation and excitement of fans world over film will appear before audience on January 29th as announced," the producer stated in the press release.

Following the official announcement, #YennaiArindhaalFestFromJan29 is one of the top-trending topics on Twitter.

Directed by Gautham Menon, "Yennai Arindhaal" is an action thriller flick with Ajith appearing in the role of a cop. Anushka Shetty, Trisha Krishnan, Arun Vijay, Vivek and baby Anikha are also part of the film's cast.

The film's music is composed by Harris Jayaraj, while the cinematography is handled by DanMacarthur. It is produced by AM Ratnam and is deemed the costliest film in Gautham's career.

Expectations are sky high for "Yennai Arindhaal" as it marks the first time collaboration between Ajith and Gautham. The film's first look teaser, trailer and the songs have generated a positive buzz about the film.

The Ajith starrer was initially slated to hit the screens for Pongal, but the post-production work has delayed the release. It is expected to enjoy a solo release on 29 January and it is likely to take grand openings at the box office.

Thala (as Ajith is fondly referred by his fans) has been on a roll with back-to-back successful films like "Arrambam" and "Veeram". It needs to be seen if the actor will be able to hit a hat-trick with "Yennai Arindhaal." The film is expected to release on a massive scale at box offices worldwide.

The Telugu dubbed version will also simultaneously release with the Tamil version. Ajith and Gautham enjoy a decent market in Telugu film industry. It needs to be seen if the Telugu version titled "Yentha Vaadu Gaanie" strikes gold at the box office.
