Ajith's international fans seem to be lucky, as his forthcoming film "Yennai Arindhaal"  is set to be released overseas a day before its India release.

Yes, "Yennai Arindhaal" will have its international premiere on 28 January, while it will hit theatres in India on 29 January.

There seems to a good reason behind the move, as the actor has a good fan following outside India, prompting the makers of the movie to go for an overseas release first.

As of now, "Yennai Arindhaal" is expected to release on 28 January in the US, the UK, Malaysia and Singapore. It might release in some more international circuits, for which the makers are having discussion with respective theatrical rights' holders. The Tamil movie is likely to have a solo release worldwide and the screen count is expected to cross 1000.

"Yennai Arindhaal" was originally planned to be released during Pongal, in which case it would have had to compete with Vikram's mega-budget movie "I" directed by Shankar. But the Ajith starrer movie's release got postponed due to delay in post-production work.

In hindsight, the delay seems to be a blessing in disguise because the euphoria around Pongal releases would have faded, benefitting Ajith. The movie will simultaneously release in Telugu.

"Yennai Arindhaal" brings Ajith Kumar and Gautham Menon together for the first time. Their long-time desire to work together is finally materialising in this movie. The other interesting part of the story is that the flick is bankrolled by AM Rathnam, who produced Ajith's earlier movie "Arrambam".

Trisha Krishnan and Anushka Shetty have played the female leads in "Yennai Arindhaal" and Arun Vijay plays the role of a baddie in the Tamil movie.

Meanwhile, the trailer and the audio have met with positive responses from the audience and have taken helped the movie in raising people's expectations.
