The teaser of Ajith's "Vedalam" has been watched by close to two million viewers on YouTube in less than 48 hours. This is an indication of the craze that the movie has generated in South India.

After delaying by a week, the teaser was released on the midnight of 8 October directly on YouTube. In no time, the video-clip went viral and became a big hit. It has got a record 1.10 lakh 'likes' on its official page, the highest for a Tamil movie. 

The major credit for the success undoubtedly goes to Ajith's hardcore fans, who have gone that extra mile to ensure that the video-clip becomes the talk of the town. They trended multiple topics on social networking sites about the movie which helped non-Tamil audience to take note of it and watch the teaser.

The video-clip has thrilled the audience with Ajith's intense look, contrary to the general perception that "Vedalam" would be a family entertainer. The clip took the audience by surprise with its action elements.

Now, expectations have doubled and curiosity around the flick has reached a new high. People are now waiting for the trailer of "Vedalam" with bated breath. It is most likely to be released next week.

New Posters released on Friday
The new posters from "Vedalam" has been released on Friday, 9 October. A couple of looks of Ajith in different avatars are out on internet.

"Vedalam" has been written and directed by Siruthai Siva. AM Rathnam, who had earlier produced by Ajith's movies "Arrambam" and "Yennai Arindhaal", has produced the flick. It has Shruti Haasan, Lakshmi Menon, Rahul Dev, Kabir Duhan Singh, Ashwin Kakumanu, Soori, Thami Ramaiah, Bala Saravanan and others in the cast.

The Tamil movie is likely to be released on 11 November and it is going to clash with some big movies including Kamal Haasan starrer "Thoongavanam".
