Ajith fans can also see special shows of the actor's 50th film "Mankatha" in some theatres. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, "Mankatha" had Ajith in a character with shades of grey. The actor won accolades from all quarters for his fantastic performance in the action thriller flick and it turned out to be a big hit in 2011.

On the occasion of his birthday, Thala will not only be seen on the big screen, but will also be dominating the small screens. Two popular TV channels will be screening Ajith's latest hit films on 1 May.

The actor's 2013-Diwali release "Arrambam" will be premiered on Jaya TV, while his 2014-Pongal release "Veeram" will be screened on Sun TV. Both these films achieved grand success at the box office. While "Arrambam" had Ajith in a stylish look, the actor appeared in a rural avatar in "Veeram".
