This Diwali is going to be a real treat for movie buffs, as three big films are lined up for a showdown.

Ajith's "Arrambam" has been confirmed for Diwali release, while Karthi's "All in All Azhagu Raja" is also expected to hit the screens on the same day. Now, Arya is set to join the Diwali race with his upcoming fantasy film, "Irandam Ulagam" ("Second World").

The makers of "Irandam Ulagam", PVP Cinemas, have confirmed that the film will be released on Diwali (November) in various languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Russian, Turkish and Georgian.

"Irandam Ulagam" is reportedly made on a budget of ₹60 crore as the film involves cutting-edge special effects. Directed by Selvaraghavan, the romantic-fantasy film has Arya playing the role of an IIT professor and Anushka Shetty is the female lead. Both the actors appear in dual avatars and also indulge in stunt sequences which apparently has one story that spans two different worlds.

"Irandam Ulagam" has been shot at different locations, including Chennai, Hyderabad, Goa, Georgia and Tashkent. The trailer of this magnum opus was released last month and received positive feedback from critics and movie buffs. The film's soundtrack by Harris Jeyaraj are already topping the charts.

The audio and trailer release have generated a lot of buzz among fans. The film will be clashing at the box office with other biggies like "Arrambam" and "All in All Azhagu Raja." Interestingly, "Arrambam" also has Arya playing a pivotal role along with Ajith. The actor plays as a hacker in this film, a role that is completely different from what he dons in "Irandam Ulagam."

All the three films, including the Karthi-starrer, belong to different genre which could be a real treat to the audience. While "Arrambam" is an action thriller, "Irandam Ulagam" is a fantasy film. "All in All Azhagu Raja" is a romantic-comedy caper directed by Rajesh of "Boss Engira Bhaskaran" fame.

Wait a little longer to find out which of these films impress the audience!
