Ajith
Ajith will be reportedly seen in two roles in PR Handout

It seems like Ajith Kumar will play an interesting role in his upcoming movie. The actor will reportedly play the role of an agent from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the forthcoming Tamil movie.

IndiaGlitz reported that the forthcoming movie will be entirely shot in the U.S. and other foreign countries. Ajith will be seen working for the FBI in the film. The actor has pulled off similar roles with ease earlier. Hence, fans believe that it is a tailor-made character for their icon.

On the other end, the makers are busy finding a suitable opponent for Ajith in the movie, which is currently being referred to as "Thala 57." It was reported earlier that Vijay Sethupathi was approached to play the baddie in the upcoming movie. But he could not take up as he was busy with other projects.

Recently, the buzz was that Sasikumar was offered to play the villain's character. Now, Arjun Sarja's name is doing the rounds but it is also said that he is unlikely to accept as he is busy with a few projects. It may be recalled that the duo had earlier worked together in hit film "Mankatha."

However, Arvind Swamy, whose performance in last year's hit movie "Thani Oruvan" garnered rave reviews, is also being considered for the role of the protagonist in "Thala 57."

Anushka Shetty has been reportedly roped in to play the female lead role. She was part of Ajith's "Yennai Arindhaal" before. Anirudh Ravichander and Vetri have been signed to handle music and cinematography departments. Anu Vardhan will be designing costumes in the flick.

"Thala 57" has been written and directed by Siruthai Siva, who is teaming up with Ajith for the third time after "Veeram" and "Vedalam." Sathya Jyothi Films is bankrolling the flick, which is expected to be released in April 2017. The shooting will commence next month.
