Ajay Devgn's "Shivaay" motion poster is out and it looks impressive. While people cannot stop raving about it on social media, it immediately draws parallels to Amish Tripathi's "The Immortals of Meluha" cover.

"Shivaay-The Protector,Transformer and Destroyer. Watch Motion Poster here, " he tweeted along with the first look poster.

Slated for release in 2017, the film will mark the superstar's second directorial venture after "U Me Aur Hum".

Meanwhile, a few years ago, Karan Johar's Dharma Productions bought the rights of the film and it was said that "Agneepath" director Karan Malhotra would be helming the project.

"If one wants to tell His story, it can only be done with intense passion and commitment. And that is what I saw in Dharma Productions towards The Immortals of Meluha. I believe that my book is in very safe hands with Karan and his team," The Times of India quoted the author as saying.

Interestingly, Ajay, who is not much of a reader as his star wife Kajol, confessed to having been hooked to Amish's books, last year.

"I just remember I had gotten hooked on to the Meluha series by Amish Tripathi. I've read all three. Okay, I didn't finish the third one because everyone was like it is not as great as the first two. That psyched me into finishing it," he told India Today.

However, whether it's an adaptation or not, the impressive first look has created quite a stir online.
