For megastar Amitabh Bachchan's 72nd birthday on 11 October, ideal 'bahu' Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has a special bash planned.
"Aishwarya has been planning this since two weeks. She wanted to surprise Mr Bachchan, but he got to know about this bash some days ago. Nevertheless, the party is still on," Bollywood Life quoted a source close to the development.
According to reports, the special party will be held at a posh hotel and attended by close friends and family. Hit songs of the senior actor's films will also be played.
The bash which was supposed to be a surprise for the actor was revealed much ahead of the celebrations. With close to 30 million fans across all social media platforms, Bachchan also wishes to connect with them online.
"Every year on my birthday I am overwhelmed by love and affection that I receive from my fans, from across the world. This year with the help of Twitter and Fluence, I have found this unique way to reciprocate the love, even though the message is communicated through a digital medium for me it is as personal as wishing each individual myself," PTI quoted the actor as saying.
And in an effort to do so, the actor tweeted on 9 October, "Party Toh Banti Hai! Send birthday wishes with #AB72Wishes and get an exclusive signed digital poster!! ~ Bachchan Digital Team."
Ever since the post went up, AB's fans went into a tizzy. Humbled and thrilled by the response, he thanked his millions of followers on twitters and wrote, "Is liye : 225K people engaged in this activity 2800 unique posters sent out to fans 61,250 unique users added today !"
The senior actor, who is busy shooting "Kaun Banega Crorepati 8", will be next seen in "Welcome Back" and "Piku".
