Coimbatore/ Patna /Ranchi, July 7 (ANI): Indians expect an affordable rail network, better facilities and improved security arrangements as Narendra Modi-led new government prepares to lay out its vision for the critically important but often neglected sector in a budget due on Tuesday. Commuters in the city of Ranchi in Jharkhand hoped that the rail fare does not rise further after last month’s increase when passenger fare and freight fares were hiked by 14.2 percent and 6.5 percent respectively. In the southern city of Coimbatore, daily commuters said it was time India joined the fast lane and added high speed trains to the network. As the government prepares to present the railway budget, women commuters have their wish list – with their safety being the prime concern.
