New Delhi, July 26 (ANI): Attorney General (AG) Mukul Rohatgi sent his opinion on the Leader of Opposition post to the Lok Sabha Speaker and said the Congress party was not eligible for it. Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan had sought the opinion of the AG in the issue after the Congress repeatedly demanded that it be given the post. Reacting over this, Congress leader Manish Tewari on Saturday said that the Congress being the second largest political party is entitled to hold the position of Leader of opposition. Tewari also said that the Attorney general also in his opinion has alluded to a convention which is by no stretch is statuary rule which needs to be broken.
